Database work is the main thing
We see a number of site builders who will quote a rate by the number of pages done. Maybe $100 a page, so that a 10-page site will cost a thousand dollars. It's a good rate, but when the content on those pages gets old and needs changing, most of these deals will require another charge for the page edits, usually at a high developer's rate of $50 or more an hour. You keep paying. There is no database backing.

Who's going to put in the data?
The idea of clients entering their own product data is very important in our site quotes. We can do this data entry, but our goal is to keep you from paying our developer's rate for this. It's well-spent money having Lyon Web develop a data-driven site with Web-based content editing tools. It may not be so well spent having us key in your data when this task could be accomplished by anyone with Internet access, a Web browser, and a knowledge of the products and data that the site needs to display. Think of images as part of the data too. If you have a product catalog of 400 items that you want thumbnail and full-size pictures of on the site, it would be cheapest for you to shoot the pix and upload to the site via EZ Web form.

Our standard hosting packages is $30 per month or $300/year.
